Being human.

At the time you are reading these words I should be surely dead.

Despite of what follows I am not a writer. For me, the best way of thinking is talking, though there is some kind of relation between thinking, talking and writing. They are different areas in human experience but connected in what has been called symbolic production. In the end, this is what differences us from the rest of lifeforms, our ability to create virtual objects.

So I am writing as you can read.

Every human action makes a relation between the inner self inside and the alter outer, a dynamic interaction between material and inmaterial dimensions, such as idea and reality, theory and practice, sacred and profane. It is no surprising that the most common universal myths may be very well represented in traditional philosophy standars: the conditions for Existence and Life and Humankind or, in other words, the problems you have to face when you try to talk about god, politics and arts.

The XXth Century has passed away but it is not far enough to have a closer look back on the question of the standars once again. The paradox of Atomic Age is that it just means the division of the atom, by fission or fussion. It is funny how the same scientific theory that supports atomic bomb is on the other side behind the great discovery of quantum mechanics. Relativity basicaly means that everything is always in movement. The funny thing comes when you realize that this is exactly the same conclusion represented in old eastern philosophy, a few thousand years ago.

The whole Existence is energy and materia fluctuation, an infinite performance from Big Bang to Crunch and back again. But from our point of view it appears as a great explosion that still remains in cycles of complexity against irreversible entropy. If we take the Existence as a four dimension space-time object, we may imagine it as a process of reconfiguration in different but interconected levels of self-organization, a Russian Dolls game of boxes inside boxes in fractal progression.

The Existence is holy when we accept everything as conected. Mystic experience reveals how everything is sacred as unity, but also duality, trinity, etc. until multiplicity.

In this way, the question of life is no longer what it is, but how it creates different structures as self-organizated combinations in certain conditions. So there is no contradiction if we aproach the cell and dna transmision phenomena in terms of memory by transformation: there is no origin of life, there is just a process of learning through habits in entropy-complexity feedback. Every lifeform as a dynamic structure is made of and cooperates with multiple systems and contains the information of the whole.

And that lead us to Human question. Neanderthals preceeded and cohabitated the world with us, Homo Sapiens and shared all human characteristics with the perhaps non proved exception of abstract thinking and symbolic production. They lived in caverns and handmade shelters, controled fire, carved stones as tools, buried the dead, spoke some proto-language, made hunt strategies, breed with cooked animals and collected vegetables, predicted season changes, felt emotions… That is our arcadia, our paradise lost and hopefully maybe recovered. Why is this? Maybe Cain and Able myth is one posible answer to the extermination we supposely committed. The missing link shows our problem to recognize that obscure secret in our past, the lesson of the first blood: death to live.

The main lesson to learn is that we finaly reach what we were looking for, with its terrible gift included. Modern revolution dreams of humankind’s emancipation through technology developement, that took place right in the middle of the century with nuclear power, the power of gods to give and take away life. For the very first time we are the owners of our destiny, or this is the only answer to explain what has happened since then.
